Post-process look
Rendering & lookTune the look: color grading, bloom, Lumen and anti-aliasing.
What it’s for
This area adjusts the post-process settings you change most: white balance and color grading, bloom, Lumen global illumination and reflections, motion blur, and anti-aliasing. Describe the look you want and your assistant sets the matching values, so you do not have to dig through a PostProcessVolume’s nested details panel.
Most changes go to the level’s unbound PostProcessVolume, the one that applies everywhere, so you are setting the overall look of the scene. Each change touches only the settings you asked about and leaves the rest alone, which keeps edits small and easy to review.
Anti-aliasing is the exception. The engine has no per-volume setting for it, so your assistant changes the project’s console variables instead. To place or edit the volume itself, see Volumes.
Things you can ask
Warm up the color grade
White balance shifts warmer and saturation goes up for a golden-hour feel.
You: Give the level a warmer, punchier look.
White balance is now 7200K and saturation is up to 1.15.Tone down the bloom
Bloom drops so bright highlights stop blowing out the frame.
You: The bloom is too strong, pull it down.
Bloom intensity is now 0.4 with a threshold of 1.2.Turn on Lumen global illumination
Lumen GI is on, with higher final gather quality for cleaner indirect light.
You: Switch this level to Lumen and clean up the indirect lighting.
Lumen GI is on, with final gather quality raised to 2.0.
